Edible
Old world tastes are woven with the pleasing visual palette of succulent herbs, vegetables and fruit. Unusual varieties and unique tastes abound, but the classics are not forgotten.
Natural
We use organic and natural practices at our gardens, never using any chemicals or GMO seeds. We use naturally aged compost from local farms if our own mulch bins are not enough.
Artisanal
Crafting heirloom varieties to let other enjoy the tastes of times forgotten is our focus. We too have memories of incredible fruits and vegetables juices running down our chin, as we smiled, laughed and savored the fruits of Mother Nature in our grandparent's bountiful gardens.
Sustainable
Organic practices, sensible crop rotation and companion planting are all used to eliminate uses of chemicals and manufactured fertilizer. We encourage and promote selling our products locally.
Value
While organic practices using heirloom seeds are more expensive, the goal and daily focus is to make nutrition affordable and available to as many as possible.
Locale
Our gardens are three miles south of Lake Ann on the hill above the Platte River, nestled among the beautiful forests of pine and hardwoods. Our plot of earth is bathed from the warmth of Lake Michigan, where the sun rises east of Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore.
